Our Story

Driven by a passion for cars, design, and Art Deco, I took on a wild challenge: reviving the elegance of the classic hood ornament.

It all started in 2021 when I fell in love with the Mercedes C-Class W205. But looking out over the dashboard, my best friend pointed out the obvious: "Something is missing here. There is no star."

He was right. The iconic three-pointed star was gone from the hood. And just like every other owner looking for a classic grille to fix it, I hit a total wall. The options on the market were simple: replace the entire front bumper, or settle for the mighty double star look.

In 2022, I founded the brand Star On The Hood in Nice, the very city where the Mercédès name was born.

It took four years of intense product development and learning everything else from scratch to make it a reality. Today, the Classic Sport Grille for the C-Class W205 is finally ready, allowing the legendary star to reclaim its rightful place. My dream now is to bring this classic look to other modern icons.
